Are you tired of going round and round talking about the same issues with your clients? Or meeting the same blocks and rigidity in their body after it looked like it had shifted last session?

Wouldn't it be great to have a way to resolve these patterns via an ancient and intelligent system inbuilt into every one of your clients? And in a way that increases mindfulness, self awareness and presence in them as well? (Therefore improves their quality of life!)

Introducing ...

THE NERVOUS SYSTEM and this mini Somatic Therapy Training <<

In this training you'll learn:

An overview of the physiology/nervous system, and how the brain lays down repetitive patterns, behaviours and feelings states that can be worked with via the map of the nervous system, The nervous systems role in physical and ego survival (and how this links with internal emotional, mental and spiritual layers and external behaviours of a person) Signs and signals the body, behaviour and language give you about where a client is in their fight/flight/freeze responses around an issue, Tools to work with and resolve different nervous system states, Tools for helping your clients move into embodied empowerment Tools for settling your own nervous system in your own life or when hearing distressing content from a client.

Im also excited to tailor this workshop to the needs of the participants.. and you'll get a chance to tell me what you'd love to learn before we meet.

.............

WHO IS THIS TRAINING FOR?

Counsellors or therapists in training wanting to have a deeper understanding of the role of the body, Psychologists and psychotherapists Bodyworkers Anybody wanting to have a deeper understanding of how the instinctual brain impacts their clients lives.

If that's you... Do you want to learn how to use your clients' body intelligence to heal and resolve stuck-ness, trauma, depression or anxiety?

Want to support them into more natural thriving based on their ancient biology and yours?

Have you always been fascinated by somatic approaches to the body and to therapy?

This training will be focussed on giving you some tangible skills you can take into your practice or your life. It is not intended as a self-development series.

"This is a professional, well thought out course offering comprehensive insights into the workings of the body and our felt-senses. It offers thought provoking insights and practical tools for therapist to assist clients in harnessing greater self-awareness and releasing the grip of trauma in the body. Thank you so much Amanda for an enlightening and highly enjoyable afternoon!!" Dee De Haas

.............

WHO RUNS THIS WORKSHOP?

Hi, Im Amanda and I've been working "somatically" for 16+ years.. I started out as a bodyworker and moved to somatic therapy and coaching when I realised I really wanted to be able work with the patterns in the mind and emotions that were creating the tension or collapse I was meeting on my massage table.

I am Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, Lead Essence Coach with the Essence School (amongst many other things!) and am deeply in love with my work. I find working somatically is very soulful.. the body is a place of such wisdom, depth and intelligence.

I look forward to sharing what I know with you.

Please note, this is not a substitute for training with Somatic Experiencing (SE) Australia and I am not certified to give trainings in SE methods.

.........

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THIS TRAINING?

Im a strong advocate for INTEGRATION of what we learn and experience.. so this workshop is a mini-series, with Pre-Workshop videos, the 4 hour workshop itself and a follow up Q+A call 2 weeks later (after you've had a chance to practice the skills in the world/your session room) to integrate what you've learnt.

PRE-WORKSHOP VIDEOS:

These videos will be sent to you give you an outline of the nervous system role and structure and speak to what to watch out for when you're working with Groups and with someone with a less stable nervous system. You'll also get a slide show/video on "Why It's Important To Pay Attention to Your Body when Making Changes" (that you can share with your clients) to get them on board with listening to their body!

4 HOUR WORKSHOP:

Including all the content above.

1.5 HOUR FOLLOW UP CALL:

This call will be held on Zoom after 1.5 weeks. This so you have time to take the tools and practice them with yourself or in sessions, and bring questions for support or brainstorming afterwards.

Shaking Medicine Teacher Training - Mullumbimby (Byron Bay)

Friday, March 6, 2020Fri, Mar 6, 2020

Living Yoga Sanga, First floor, 63 Stuart Street, Mullumbimby

The Shaking Medicine Teacher Training delivers the information one needs to guide an amazing journey of Shaking Medicine. Teaching this is unlike facilitating any other journey. When a Shaking Medicine teacher is guiding a class well everyone in the class will be doing something completely different, which is quite different than most other gym, yoga, yin, Pilates, dance, Qi Gong and many other modalities including other shaking modalities. It is fun to share in this style and is very empowering to both you and your students. This training gives you the tools to guide an invitational, intuitive and transformational journey.

During this training you will advance your own Shaking Medicine practice with new understandings to weave into your practice, experience the most common as well as new postures for shaking in, understand the foundational history, science and philosophy of Shaking Medicine, learn how to teach and sequence a Shaking Medicine class safely and effectively, receive class plans for teaching and become certified as a Shaking Medicine teacher.

We have learned, developed and evolved a very effective process over the years for bringing people into Shaking Medicine. We will share these skills and insights with you. You will obtain a solid understanding of Shaking Medicine and be fully prepared to teach Shaking Medicine to others. We incorporate the latest insights and knowledge. The training includes a balance of learning styles such as visual, aural, verbal, logical and kinesthetic.

There are options to do this teacher training completely online or in person. The in person part of the training also includes at home elements and online elements.

This practice is growing and evolving quickly and as such this information will be periodically updated.

Jakob is back - Starts March 2nd 2020.

Monday 5.00 - 7.30pm with Siddhartha’s Intent Australia at Living Yoga Sanga.

We offer an introductory talk on meditation, for both new and experienced practitioners, followed by the actual practice. Meditation establishes peaceful presence and mindfulness, allowing us to awaken to a more open appreciation of our reality. Dharma Study is dedicated to the study of classical Buddhist texts ”In my approach, I aspire to be non-exclusive. The purpose of the Buddhist path is to uncover a common heritage of awakening. Growing up multi-lingual and being at home in several cultures, I am aware how ordinary common experiences and truths can be obscured across languages. I wish to share the heart and spirit of Buddhist insights in contemporary terms, and through the practice of meditation. I do not subscribe to the current trend of sanitising Buddhism for modern consumption, and see all aspects of the various Buddhist traditions as having a valid role in uncovering buddhanature”.
